They don't call it March Madness for nothing!! And I am NOT referring to College Basketball... Life around here has been super busy... with March Break, Birthdays (mine) and Work it is amazing that I find time for sleep! ha ha ha... not really, but it feels like it sometimes...
Anyway - just wanted to let all followers to know that I am still alive and creating... once the camera is charged, I will take pictures of some recent creations and post them!
Must get back to writing my April to June 2009 newsletter for my Stampin' Up customers!
Take care and happy surfing...

Creative Explosion

So today one of the orders from an SU! workshop arrived. No big deal really - although I got this sudden urge to create... so create I did!
Not more than one card mind you... but I created, and I made this really cute little card! I would love to know what you think!!
Made from SU! cardstock (whisper white, basic black and pixie pink), ink (basic black & pixie pink), Silver brads and Dazzling Diamonds glitter.
So simple, but I am in love.

Sale-A-Bration Reminder
Today's entry is just a short note that Stampin' Up's yearly Sale-A-Bration event is nearly over for 2009. There are quite a few cute stamp sets as well as ribbon and designer patterend paper this year!
My mother hosted a workshop today and she is getting almost each of the available items in the sale-a-bration flyer! Way to go mom. Great workshop today.
Must go start the daily bedtime round up now!

Lovely Little Layout
With another workshop fast approaching (comprised of quite a few beginner scrappers) I wanted to take the opportunity to highlight the 12x12 cardstock papers that SU! carries. And of course, one of my most adorable little photo subjects!
The paper used was from the Soft Subtles colour family (Certainly Celery, Almost Amethyst & Barely Banana). I also used Whisper White to mat the photos on and use for journalling.
Inks were Closa to Cocoa and Versa Mark. Ribbon is 1/4 inch Whisper White grosgrain.
The letting is Schoolbook Serif and the decorative set of choice was Baroque Motifs! "Quel-Suprise" it is my set of choice on almost a regular basis!
I am pretty sure that this layout will get the oohs and ahhs that I LOVE! :)
Happy creating and until next time!

Long Time
HUGE apologies to anyone following my blog! I have not posted in two weeks to the day! Things have been busy! The youngest (5 months) is now in daycare and I am now back at work full time.
The last couple of weeks have not been wasted though!
Last week sometime I made this cute little card with an acetate window in it. Needless to say I am quite pleased with myself! Using a two step stamp, I stamped the first image on the inside of the card, assembles the whole thing then stamped the second image on the acetate window!
Very pleased I am with myself indeed!
This adorable little card was made with all SU! products. CS - Whisper White, Basic Black and Orchid Opulance. White Grosgrain ribbon. Orchid Opulance ink and StazON jet black ink. Also the 1 3/8: punch and 1 1/4 punch.
I am having another workshop this weekend and cooking up some pretty cool stuff for April/May/June!
Stay tuned for more stampin' and scrappin' stuff!
Thank for reading!!

FAMILY DAY!
So this is the second year that Ontario is celebrating its newest statutory holiday Family Day. Such a nice idea. Not that I did anything much... went to visit my brother and his son, with my DH and sons. A really nice afternoon. Chatting and watching the kids play.
My sister in law was not there today... so in troth, I spent a lot of time listening to my husband and brother talk...
I had forgotten that she is a scrapbooker! So imagine my surprise when I saw her albums on their coffee table!! I sat down with much excitement and flipped through the pages. Her layouts are so cute and well planned. I have watched her scrapbook before and she takes a long time to complete one page. She puts a lot of thought into each of her layouts and it shows! Her style is so different from my own. She will cut her photos into circles and ovals and mat around them. I don't ever remember doing that, and to this day can't say that I would be that comfortable doing it. But my sister in law does such nice work that the photos look like they were taken to fit those spaces and shapes that she creates.
Sometime I will have to see if she will let me post some of her work on here...
On a different note - my inchies are done!! ;)
The sea ones turned out way better than i had originally anticipated. I am pleased with them. I will get some up here soon.
Now here is the thing - I have signed up for another inchie swap and need to make 48 more! Oh well... thank goodness they are little! They shouldn't take long at all. They keep me busy and out of trouble ;) Speaking of these, I should go and plan what I am going to do for them!

A sample of INCHIES
So since my last post I have been creating inchies 'inch by inch'! For a swap that I am participating in... I have to make a total of 108. I have 16 left to do! I am at a bit of a road block for the last group though. The theme is 'the sea'. Yuck. What on earth would I do for 'the sea'? I have called upon my friend to help me out. She has some fancy sea life stamps at home t
hat I am happily going to use to finish this project off.
That being said - I feel the need to share a few samples of what I have done so far! As you can see - the photo is not that great and the inchie at the bottom in the centre is SO unclear. There is a glitter snowflake on the white circle.
From left to right and top the bottom, the categories are as follows; BABY, BUGS (drogonfly), FLOWERS, HEARTS, SEASONS (winter) and HOLIDAYS (valentines day).
I used various scraps of cardstock I had in my stash and broke out my stamps and QuicKutz. Super fast and super fun! My favourtie part of these? The acetate wings that I made for the dragonflies! They look even better than I imagined!
Happy stampin' and scrapin' and I will post again real soon.
HAPPY VALENTINE"S DAY!
