Mothers Day!!

Is tomorrow!
So HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY to all mothers and mothers to be out there!
This is a card that I made last night at a Demonstrators only meeting.

The piece sticking out is a removable piece - it can be used as a book mark! The Card Stock Colours are Whisper White and More Mustard. The stamp sets used are Embrace Life and All Holidays (i think). The Embossing Folder is Fifth Avenue Floral. Super fast and super easy (And super cute!!).
Have a great day everyone!

Not Scrapworthy but certainly Blog Worthy!

In just a few short weeks, I will be joining thousands of others in Downtown Toronto - participating in Autism Speaks years fundraiser.
When I am not papercrafting and being a mom, I am at my day job. A Behaviour and Social Skills Clinic for Children with Autism. I love my job, and the kiddies I service each and everyday.
Taking this walk with my coworkers is just a small part of myself I can give to this worthy cause.
Please click here to learn more about the walk and the team I am walking with!
Thank you!

A Printed Digital Layout!

I printed my first Digital Layout today!

I found a super way to do it too! I have a current Stampin' Up! 6x6 binder album that I am now starting to fill with some 6x6 page layouts.

I took my memory stick to my local Wal~Mart and printed the layout in a 5x7 format. It gave me the option to re-size them, in other words, fit the layout in the 5x7 box. Since the layout is square, it was 5x5 – leaving an inch of white space and the top and at the bottom. No big deal – just cut them off.

To print a 5x7 @ Wal~Mart, it costs $0.97 – Which is great!! So only 1 page cost me a buck! I cut a piece of cardstock when I got home to measure 6x6, inked the edged of the photo and stamped all over the outside of the 6x6 piece of CS. Making it the most perfect first timers HYBRID PAGE!! Just look at it!!

Can you tell I am very proud?

I am so motivated to create more, that I think I have decided that I will make all kinds of gift for people this year.

I can't believe how easy it is to create simple layouts with the MDS software and do other things at the same time (watch tv, do laundry, etc) I can get up from a, MDS layout and not worry about it... Some many wonderful things!

Until next time!

New Colour Renovation and a Digital Layout!

On Tuesday April 6th, Stampin Up announced a colour renovation, which will be effective July 1, 2010 with the launch of the new catalogue. Instead of 48 colours in 4 families, there will be 40 colours in 4 collections. Some favourite In-colours are coming back, and 5 more colours are being added.
Sadly, 30 colours will be retiring: Going gray, Glorious Green, Green galore, Gable green, Yoyo yellow, Only orange, Pink passion, Pixie pink, Orchid opulence, Lovely lilac, Brilliant blue, Close to cocoa, Creamy caramel, Really rust, Ruby red, Cameo coral, Summer Sun, Bordering blue, Brocade blue, Ballet blue, Taken with teal, Handsome hunter, Pale plum, Blush blossom, Apricot appeal, Barely banana, Mellow moss, Sage shadow, Almost amethyst, Lavender lace.

I can forward you a copy of the new colours if you like. Please ask.

On a different note, I also dabbled in my first attempts at digital scrapbooking this evening!

I would love to know what your thoughts are. I like it - for my first attempt :)

One of my latest creations...

Recently I have made a lot of different cards for a variety of different swaps... this card I am posting today is using with Extreme BMX Biker stamp and the Extreme Elements stamps. I love all the different colours!

I used the current "IN COLOURS" palette (Dusty Durango, Crushed Curry & Bermuda Bay) as well as Whisper White and Basic Gray. I heat embossed the stars in silver, used the spiral notebook punch and a rhinestone brad to ass a bit of masculine bling!
I just gave this card to my dad with a handwritten phrase on the inside implying that he was just a boy at heart! I am certain he will like it. Don't you?

So many great ideas!

Hello everybody!
I just wanted to take a minute to share a couple of cards I have made recently for swaps!
I went to a MegaMeeting that my upline had for her first five downlines on Saturday and swapped with 50+ very talented ladies!

Here is a sample of the cards I made for the Sale-A-Bration swap. It is using the fancy scallop border punch, whimsical words stamp set and paper - all available in the SAB flyer this year!!

This is the card I made for the Occasions Mini Swap. Using the Vintage Vogue stamp set. I love the effects simple black and white has on a card, don't you?

I have lots more to show and tell - but will have to pace myself... if I post them all today, then I will have nothing again for a very long time!
Until next time! Happy stamping!!
